Power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have bought a luxurious farmhouse in Alibaug. Yes, you read that right! Reportedly, they purchased a plush farmhouse for a whopping Rs. 19 crores 24 lakh, and 50 thousand rupees on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. It is being said that the lavish house will be made on 8 acres of land near Zirad, which is a village in Alibaug. As Virat is currently in Dubai for the Asia Cup tournament, his younger brother completed the transaction on August 30.
According to a report in Etimes, a deposit of Rs 1 crore and 15 lakhs has already been made to the government treasury. The transaction was done by a popular real estate company named Samira Habitats. It is being said that the couple visited the place six months ago and because of Kohli's work commitments, he could not come to lock the deal. The report added that the sale documents were registered with the Associate Sub Registrar Ashwini Bhagat at Alibaug. Virat is not the first Indian cricketer to have a house in Alibaug. Ravi Shastri and Rohit Sharma are proud owners of lavish farmhouses in Alibaug. In fact, many Bollywood celebs including Salman Khan own a swanky farmhouse there.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy on December 11, 2017. Their destination wedding at Lake Como was the most talked about affair in the industry. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika in 2021.
